Hellenic Aeronautical and Airsports Federation

NAC of Greece - ELAO

 Hellenic Aeronautical and Airsports Federation (ELAO) was founded in 1928. By that time it was a club with individuals as members.  ELAO is the Airsports Authority in Greece recognized as such by the Ministry of Sports and by Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority.

It represents Greece to FAI from 1931.

From 1999, ELAO was recognized as a Sports Federation by the Ministry of Sports and now the members are only clubs.

Close to 100 clubs from all over the country are currently members of ELAO.

Every year ELAO is organizing national championships for most of the airsports which are practised locally. 

ELAO has organized in the past, many FAI international events including World and Continental Championships and World Cups. Four times ELAO has also organized FAI General Conferences and two times Airsports Commisions Plenary Meetings.
